The Baby Sitter - Short Horror Story
There was a young girl who was in need of a job
She was not able to find a decent job
In order to make some pocket money
She decided to work as a babysitter for a couple
who lived in a large,
isolated, old house.
One night the couple planned to go out to watch a movie
They left the teenage baby-sitter
in charge of their three young children
Finally, They left to watch the movie.
The babysitter put the children to bed when it got late
and then went downstairs to watch some television. She had to wait until the parents of the kids to come back
So, she had to pass some time watching TV
When She was just getting comfortable
then she heard the phone ring.
When she answered it,
all she heard was heavy breathing, followed by a man's voice asking,
Have you checked on the children?
Freaked out,
She tried to convince herself that it was
just someone playing a practical joke on her
she hung up the phone and went back to watching television
but about 15 minutes later, the phone rang again.
She picked up the receiver
and heard hysterical laughter from the other end of the line.
Then the same voice asked
Why haven't you checked on the children?
The poor girl was frightened out of her wits
out of fear, she slammed down the phone.
She thought that she has the responsibility of three kids as well.
and that's when she decided to call the police
The operator at the police station
told the babysitter that
if the strange man called again,
she should try to
keep him in conversation.
That would give the
police required time to trace the call
and to figure out where the calls are originating
A few minutes later, the phone rang a third time
and when the babysitter answered it,
she heard the heavy breathing again.
The voice on the line said
You should have really checked on the children.
How many times, Do I need to tell you this?
The babysitter listened to the man
laughing hysterically for a long time.

After listening all this, Babysitter got scared and cut the phone call
But the phone rang again and almost immediately, But this time it was the operator
from the police station who yelled,
She alerted the Babysitter to
Get out of the house right now!
The calls are coming from the upstairs phone!
I have dispatched a local police team for your location
They will reach you in some time.
But you need to get out of the house
right now! Hurry Up !!
The babysitter dropped the phone in shock
and suddenly she heard heavy footsteps
walking down the stairs.
Without pausing for a second, she ran out of the house
as fast as her legs would carry her.
Just as she was opening the front door
a man's hand slammed against the glass.
She screamed
and ran out into the street
just as a police car was pulling up outside.
Police took her along with them
The police searched the house
and found the two children upstairs,
hiding in a closet, crying uncontrollably.
Kids were scared
After watching the police and babysitter
their fear poured out and they cried uncontrollably
In the parent's bedroom, they found a
bloody ax lying on the floor.
They found the missing child in that room.
The back window was wide open and
the curtains were blowing in the breeze.
There was no sign of the madman who had made the phone calls.
He had escaped into the night when the police arrived
Police had interrupted his plan
But they were not able to find him in the search operation.
Police informed the babysitter
That the madman was calling her, so she
goes into the upstairs room
and call for the kids
kids would have come out of hiding for her.
He wanted to target those two children as well
But since you didn't go upstairs
the lives of those kids were saved.
